  • Elite
    X More stable in humid conditions than solid wood flooring, an engineered floor is ideal for multiple installation applications. Made from Baltic birch plywood and a 5/32 inch (4 mm) veneer for a total thickness of ½ inch (13 mm). Engineered Elite floors can be glued, nailed, stapled or laid floating.
  • Elite Plus
    X Thicker planks of ¾ inch (19 mm) with a 5/32 inch (4 mm) sliced veneer. Engineered Elite+ floors can be glued, nailed, stapled or laid floating.
  • Gymnasium Flooring
    X Gymnasium wood is 1in ¼ thick. It is therefore ½" thicker than a conventional hardwood floor. It is available only in maple hardwood species and in narrow board widths. This is what gives it its strength and stability.

• Application areas

Before installing your new floor, here are some factors to consider: relative humidity and temperature and/or sunlight variations. These criteria are essential because they can influence the durability of your floor in the short or long term.
  • Basement
    X Floor coverings for basements must be less sensitive to moisture. Among the floors proposed for this type of room, we have engineering floors and vinyl floors. Solid hardwood and laminate flooring can also be installed in a basement, provided that the necessary moisture tests are carried out before installation. You may need to install a membrane or subfloor before installing a more moisture-sensitive floor covering.
  • Condominium
    X Engineering floors are often used in condo spaces. By installing a floor of this type, you install a real layer of wood, which enhances the value of the condo. The engineered floor can be glued directly to the concrete or to a membrane. It can also be floating. Its main advantage is that it is no longer necessary to install plywood before installing it. You can have real hardwood without the need to nail it down and lose height. There are also economical solutions such as laminate floors and vinyl floors. In any case, it is prudent to check with your administrator or condo trustee to determine the soundproofing standards before considering installing your floor. If you do not follow this procedure, you may have to remove your floor that does not comply with the rules of co-ownership.
  • Ground floor and floors

However, make sure you always keep an adequate temperature and humidity and have the appropriate subfloor before installing your floor. • Widths

• Grade

  ELEFEN : en_CA XThere are three main grades for hardwood floors. There is the select and better grade, the natural grade and the rustic grade which are commonly referred to as the primary grades. Secondary grades are called this because they are produced from primary grades. Thus we obtain the peaceful grade from the natural grade and the selected and better grade and this is the case for all other grades. The important thing to know is that the more colour variations and knots there are in the floor, the more affordable it will be. Colour variations do not necessarily indicate a quality defect but rather a question of aesthetic choice based on personal taste, which must be carefully respected because it is a long-term investment.

It should also be noted that the so-called rustic boards are generally quite short.
